I draw inspiration from the raw essence of natural objects.

I collect extraordinary objects from the earth, especially beautifully timeworn elements such as seashells and stones. These materials have had their natural texture worn smooth by being tumbled in the ocean or buried in the earth. I find naturally imperfect pearls particularly enchanting; each one provides an alluring contrast between their imprecise shapes and the luminous glow of their nacre.

Prior to starting Fait Main Hand Made, I had been a working painter. The focus of that work was to use light and reflection as means to creating beautiful surfaces. I began developing ideas to showcase natural elements in day-to-day life during a period in which I was unable to paint. After much trial & error, I began to create unique pieces of jewelry intended for myself. Due to the requests from many friends (and strangers), I began to create pieces for others too, resulting in my starting Fait Main Hand Made. Five years later I continue to enjoy discovering and working with a vast variety of natural elements.

I present these unique natural weathered elements in simple designs to complement their raw beauty. The meticulously handcrafted settings are fabricated to show the elements without distractions.
